Where your dreams of being the next great QB begins
With Texas being one of the best states in the country when it comes to football, we wanted to help young quarterbacks in Texas get started on their own journey. Today we will be laying out many different trainers for you to work with to further develop your game on and off the field. Enjoy and good luck on your journey!
Jenkins Elite Texas QB Academy
14090 Southwest Freeway Suite 300 Sugar Land, Texas 77478
We begin our list with one of the most broad options that you can find for training. First off, you can do private training sessions for one on one time with the coaches. Of course this is always beneficial, but what makes this training unique is that you also have the option for group training sessions which can be just as useful. Not only will it help you surround yourself with others like you, but sometimes it is just as helpful to get an opportunity to watch others in action that are trying to do the same things you are. It can also be beneficial to get some competition going for you, so it simulates a game day environment more than a one on one lesson. No matter which private training type you go for, you cannot go wrong with this option.
What also makes it unique is that they now offer virtual QB training as well. This is similar to watching film, but of NFL games and you get to break it down with a professional QB coach rather than trying to pick up things on your own or with your friends. This will further develop your football IQ, which is arguably more important than having the physical abilities to throw the ball further than others.
Stoney C.
120 South Field St, Dallas, TX 75202
Now for true private training, we suggest meeting with Coach Stoney who has 71 other five-star reviews to his name. Not only does this set him apart from the get-go, but he has professional football experience as he played in the NFL for five years. And has also played in other professional leagues for just as long.
Stoney holds the unique record of being the first quarterback in NCAA history to pass for 9,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards back in 1994. Even before that he won the Texas 5A State Championship when he was in high school, so he knows what it takes to win on a professional level.
Besides his professional QB career, he also has a great coaching philosophy about being down to the core, with a lot of his focus coming on the fundamentals and mechanics of the sport. Whether it is the mechanics of throwing or your footwork, Coach Stoney can set you straight based on his many years of experience at the position. Due to his overall success, he will also easily be able to tell you the difference between what will work and what will not.
Ryan Roberts QB Training
Call or Text 817-343-4912 Fort Worth, Texas
Now back to the larger training groups we have the Ryan Roberts QB training option. Lucky for you, this private training focuses specifically on high school athletes to make them the best possible and set them up on the path to success for college and hopefully on the professional level as well. Similar to the Texas QB Academy from above, there is also the option for group lessons if you are interested in that. Now to be clear these group lessons are more strictly geared towards friendly competition amongst one another and help each other grow through learning from each other. Although as we mentioned early, this is always something that is great to do every now and then.
Besides those group lessons, Ryan Roberts still does provide private lessons of course. In addition to the specific QB lessons, they will also set you up with individualized workout programs and speed and strength training programs as well. Off the field, they will also help you further your football IQ with playbook and film sessions, since again football IQ can be the thing that separates you apart from other players with the same physical skills as you. If you’re still not convinced, listen to this testimony, “My son Ken Seals began training with Ryan Roberts in 2012. He has since won 5 National Titles, 6 State Titles, and multiple local competitions.” The results simply speak for themselves.
Texas QB – Jason Lovvorn
7894 Samuell BLVD Dallas, Texas
Last but not least we have Jason Lovvorn. Jason is the head coach at the Texas QB company, not to be confused with the University of Texas. Lovvorn was a former college quarterback at Baylor University himself. So it is safe to say that he has had lots of years of experience at the position. He also has lots of experience coaching as he was the head football coach at First Baptist Academy and led the team to the school’s first playoff win in 28 years. He also led the team to an undefeated season and state championship within his first five years at the school.
Nowadays his training is all private lessons and is again mainly focused on younger quarterbacks who are looking to further enhance their game. He works with High School QB’s on a weekly basis and is willing to work with athletes as young as first grade. Being a high school coach himself, he is very experienced with coaching athletes of this age. With his outstanding experience as both a player and a coach, you can count on him for private QB training.
Now time to hire that desired QB trainer
